FACES Raises Over $44,000 at Auction

We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us raise over $44,000 at Monday night’s auction at Andina! Yes, you read that right: over $44,000! Our team is so thankful for your incredible outpouring of support for our cleft program and humanitarian efforts. These funds will go directly to supporting our patients, our upcoming surgical trip and our speech therapy program.

It was a truly magical evening among old and new friends, and like-minded individuals. As JillMarie, our auctioneer, said, a ripple effect does not have to start with thousands of people, but it can start with one. In our case it started with those 66 people who were in the room Monday night, as well as the dozens of others who gave donations in lieu of attendance, or supported the event by donating auction items. The funds raised Monday night will make a tremendous difference in the lives of hundreds of indigent cleft patients in Peru.

A special thanks to our volunteers who made the evening run smoothly. Additionally, FACES would like to acknowledge Amy Henninger, the young woman born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate, who spoke about what it means to have comprehensive cleft team support and how empowering that can be. Her words were touching and poignant, and we were delighted to have her in attendance to share her experiences with you.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support! We are honored that each and every one of you took an evening from you lives to spend it with us at FACES.
