2025 Campaign Summary

Summary of the 2025 Surgical Campaign

On January 24th, 2025, a team of 42 North American medical professionals flew from the United States to Peru to volunteer their time and skills for a weeklong mission trip. Together with the medical community of Northern Peru, the FACES team offered comprehensive cleft care to families who are geographically and financially isolated from specialized healthcare.

The FACES Surgical Team has been conducting medical missions in Peru since 2006.

This year marked the 15th year of partnership with Hospital Belén of Lambayeque.

The local Lions clubs are major partners in the surgical campaigns. The volunteers of the "Ciudad Evocadora" club ensure the patients' families receive proper instruction for arriving to the campaign. They also distribute breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family members staying at the hospital.
